Having been delighted to be named as a finalist, members of our team attended the awards evening alongside businesses from across the Uckfield area to celebrate the very best of our local business community. The Customer Service Award was a particularly hard-fought category, making it an incredibly proud moment for our team to receive a Highly Commended recognition.

Being recognised in a category specifically celebrating customer service therefore means a huge amount to the whole team.

For me, it is particularly special because it recognises something that sits at the heart of Oakfield – the experience we give to the people who put their trust in us. Whether someone is selling their home, buying through us, letting a property or renting their next home, we want them to feel confident that they are going to receive a genuinely great service from our team.
Proud to be part of the Uckfield business community
The awards evening wasn’t only an opportunity to celebrate our own success. It was also a fantastic chance to meet and speak with so many other businesses operating in and around Uckfield.
We are extremely proud to have a high street presence in the heart of Uckfield and, for us, that means much more than simply having an office in the town. We love being somewhere our clients, buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants can simply pop into. Whether it’s to ask a quick question, talk about their property plans or just have a coffee and a chat with the team, we want our office to feel welcoming and accessible to the community we serve. In a world where more and more interactions are taking place at a distance – over the phone, by email or online – we believe there is still enormous value in being available in person. Property is a people business, and sometimes there is simply no substitute for sitting down face-to-face with someone who knows you, knows the local market and is there to help. That’s why being based on the high street matters to us. We’re not just working in Uckfield; we are a part of Uckfield. Independent businesses play an important role in making towns like Uckfield great places to live and work, and evenings like the Uckfield Business Awards are a brilliant reminder of just how much talent, passion and hard work there is within our local area.
