Oakfield Estate Agents has been a leading force in the property sector in East Sussex since 1996, when Neil Newstead and Stephen Ruxton-Cocker launched it from a small office in Hastings. Today that base remains, but we now also have branches in Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea.

We started in lettings and are still market leaders in this sector, but have since added new services to our portfolio – and we’re determined to continue growing while remaining true to and passionate about our local, independent roots. After all, we love our part of the world, care about it deeply and want to contribute to it as much as we can – you’d be hard-pushed to find an estate agency that knows it better than we do, or takes greater pride in it.

We use our unrivalled knowledge of the local market and area to offer a personal, highly tailored delivery in residential sales and lettings as well as property and block management, across a broad range of price brackets. Charity

Giving back is important to us. We’re serious about helping charitable organisations and community projects near us, as a key part of who we are and what we do. So, for example, for every property sold, we’ll give £50 to the local charity of customer’s choice. And as well as fundraising for good causes near us, we’re also heavily involved in sponsoring local sports groups.

From little acorns

Neil Newstead built on and transferred the skills he acquired during a previous military career to develop the thriving business Oakfield is today. Thanks to his commitment and sheer hard graft, it quickly earned a reputation for excellent results and the quality of its customer service.
