At this time of year our charities are working harder than ever, with the festive period being a difficult time for some and also with the extreme cold weather conditions making life so much harder for those in need, so we are pleased to have been able to make more Community Pledge donations this month on behalf of our Vendors.
This month we paid:
Holding Space – £100 (2 x vendor donations)
Demelza Childrens Hospice – £50 (1 x vendor donations)
Running Space – £50 (1x vendor donation)
Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare – £50 (1x vendor donation)
A few of the team from our Bexhill branch had the pleasure of visiting Demelza Children’s Hospice this month to lend some extra pairs of hands when setting up for their Christmas party for the children and their families. The team found it incredibly moving to witness how hard all of the people work to keep the centre running and how much they genuinely care about the children. It was an honour to be able to offer a little assistance in this way.
There are lots of ways you can support our charities with donations of unwanted items or even popping an extra couple of items in your supermarket shop to donate. All of these charities rely heavily on their wonderful volunteers to enable the to do the work they do, so if you have extra time over the Christmas period or would like to offer regular support, they would love to hear from you.
