Beach Life kicks off the summer holidays with an adventure filled weekend on Eastbourne seafront at the south coast's coolest, fastest and most intense FREE sports festival. Featuring a huge line up of land and water based outdoor pursuits. Get involved and get your adrenaline pumping!

 

What? Baby Clothes Swap

Where? Sonrise Church, Hastings

When? Saturday 13th July 10am-12pm

Do you wish to replenish your child’s wardrobe but at a minimal cost? Then the Sonrise Church baby close swap is the place to be. Bring along your child's clothes that are in good condition, with no tears, stains or anything missing, that you wish to swap. You will have a maximum of 20 items to swap but you can bring as many items as you would like to exchange. The pieces will be for children age ranging from newborn till 5 years. There will also be a table of FREE items some of which may have some small stains or minor defects.

 

What? Pop Up Vintage Village at The Great Gatsby Fair

What? 1812 Firework & Proms Concerts

When? Every Wednesday from July 17th

A truly iconic tradition that is celebrated every Wednesday evening, consisting of a culmination of concert music ending triumphantly with traditional proms favorites and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture accompanied by a spectacular Firework display.

 

What? Pirate Rebellion

Where? The Swan Terrace, Hastings

When? Sunday 14th July 2:30 – 5:00pm

Calling all seadogs and scallywags… Join us aboard the good ship XR 23:59 for shanties, shenanigans and swashbuckling. It be time to wake up the landlubbers and save the planet! Arghhhhhh! Extinction Rebellion Hastings and St Leonards will be joining in Hastings’ official Pirate Day festivities with some pink-boat flavoured truth-telling. Help to drum up support for the fight for climate justice.

 

What? Summer County Cup (Tennis)

A chance for teams across the county to come and compete against each other. LTA Summer County Cup events give players the opportunity to represent their County in team competition in national/regional stages. Come support your favourite players and soak up the atmosphere of a great day.

 

What? Beatwave 2019

Beatwave will be a weekend of LIVE Surf, Beat' and Garage Frenzy plus a Full Thrust of Dynamite Disks – Ska, Rock n' Roll, R&B, and Soul all by the Sea of Tranquilly …that's Right Citizens – It's the weekend of the 50 Year Anniversary of the First Apollo Moon-landing so… Strap Yourselves tightly and prepare for a Take-Off.

 

What? The Dinosaur and Fairy Trail

Where? St Michael’s hospice, St Leonard's on Sea

When? 13th July 2019

The event is in memory of Pauline Crouch, the hospice volunteer who was the creative mind behind hospice family events such as the Bunny Hop and Pumpkin Trail.

 

Tiptoe around the hospice gardens searching the fairy houses and dinosaur eggs for hidden tokens and exchange them for a wonderful goodie bag. If you find the fairy mushrooms, you could win a prize too. Craft activities are included in the entry cost and face painting from Rainbow Faces of Enfield is also available (50% of profits will be donated to the hospice).
