A day in the life of Anna Hill, Lettings Progressor at Oakfield Property

Anna joined Oakfield in 2014 to take on the role of Lettings Progressor, a new role within the company and one she has certainly taken pride in making her own and her success in the role made the decision to centralise all of our Tenant referencing to our Head Office a very successful one.

Days are never dull for Anna with Tenants moving into properties pretty much every day she must ensure we have all the required documentation prior to the Tenants attending to collect the keys. Once the let is agreed by the Negotiator in the Branch the file is passed to Anna to organise all of the references for the Tenants and the Guarantor if there is one, as well as collating together all the other documents we must have such as photo ID, proof of address, a gas safety certificate if applicable and a Legionella risk assessment. Once all of this is in place can Anna prepare the Tenancy Agreement and give the branch the go-ahead to release keys and move the Tenants into the property. Following the ‘move-in’ Anna’s job still isn’t done she ensures the deposit is registered with the correct scheme and carry’s out her final checks.

In addition to her role as a Lettings Progressor, Anna has also taken on the extra responsibility of assisting our Landlords in Hastings with their application for a selective licence for their property, a new requirement by the local council. Anna has completed applications for a licence on behalf of many of our Landlords as well sending the council documents they require to ensure the Landlord is compliant with regulations.

In 2015 Anna was Oakfield’s Employee of the Year, a very well deserved award.
