ARMA-Q was launched in January 2015 as a new self-regulatory regime for ARMA managing agents. It aims to raise the standards and quality of service across the residential leasehold management sector – hence the ‘Q’ for quality. ARMA-Q places consumers at its heart.

All managing agents, including Oakfield, who join ARMA-Q are bound by their independent regulations, consumer charter and standards. Edition 1 of the consumer charter and standards was published when ARMA-Q launched some 18 months ago, ARMA has now published their 2nd edition which takes effect from 1st August 2016.

Some standards have been amended not to change their intentions or meaning but rather to provide clarity and avoid any potential misinterpretation. Other standards have been revised updated to reflect changes in legislation, however, a number of standards have been revised quite substantially and the requirements differ significantly from those set out in the 1st edition.
