Emma Adams, Senior Property Manager. Emma joined Oakfield in 2014 as an Accounts Administrator but quickly realised her real passion was Property Management. Emma took on the role of Block Manager for our Block Management portfolio and later stepped into the role of Senior Property Manager when the management of our Block Management and Lettings portfolio was centralised to Head Office.
The role of a property manager is a vital one and with constant changes to legislation, it is essential that their knowledge is always up to date so there is always something new to learn whilst juggling the many issues that are reported on a daily basis. No two days as a property manager are quite the same as the issues reported one day are usually very different to those reported the next day but that is one of the things Emma likes the most about being a Property Manager.
Emma and her team deal with all aspects of Property Management from organising a complete redecoration and re-carpet of a property for the void period between Tenants to fixing a broken door handle. Just last week we had a snake on the loose in the communal areas of a block of flats, thankfully that’s not an everyday occurrence! As for Block Management property management there always a routine inspection to organise such as Asbestos, Electrical Safety and Risk Assessments as well as our own inspections of the building to ensure that everything is running as it should be and reporting back to the clients and any maintenance issues that are reported.
There is never a dull moment as a Property Manager but that and the sense of achievement when she resolves issues is what Emma thrives on.
